Half Moon chair by Louis Saul
Louis Saul designed this Half Moon Chair and presented it for a first time at imm Cologne 2008 under his studio's label dodolivin.
Half Moon is a wing chair. Skeleton-like seat cushioning made from bright orange sponge rubber adorns the black laminated wood boards of the armchair, which with its sweeping lines and highly contrasting colours is reminiscent of Batman. The armchair and the companion ottoman each offer room for two dozens books – a reference library ready at hand for relaxation.
Materials: wood and sponge

Assymetrical Chairs
Figured cherry veneers and solids, figured anigre veneers, wenge, stainless steel rope, aluminium "These are some of my favorite chairs, and are as comfortable as they are whimsical. The stainless steel rope cradles the small of the back, even though it looks like it might cut you like an egg slicer. My engineer friend Keith Komline helped me figure out how to attach the stainless to the seats."
